Emilia Perez, Project Manager, New York


Emilia was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay. She developed a natural curiosity for languages and everything international from an early age. A native Spanish speaker, she studied English, Italian and French at school and completed a high school student exchange program in Seattle, where she later also attended University. Upon graduating she pursued a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris, France where she also had the chance to work as an Editorial Intern at UNESCO, both at their headquarters in Paris and their regional offices in New Delhi, India. She has also worked for Vice Media in Brooklyn, NY where she translated articles and subtitled feature documentaries into Spanish, French and English. In 2016 she joined the TransLingua Team as a project manager.
